Grande-Marlaska presented the ‘Report on the evolution of hate crimes in Spain 2023’ during the fourth meeting of the Monitoring Commission of the Second Action Plan to Combat Hate Crimes 2022-2024
The State Security Forces clarified 68 percent of the facts, a rate five points higher than the previous year, and arrested or investigated 1. 161 people, 38.5 % more than in 2022
Racism/xenophobia crimes were the most numerous (856), and those affecting people with disabilities, the ones that grew the most (113 %)
